The BEST charity 5-a-side world cup - at ARSENAL!

It was a day our to remember for 160 footballers and their families on 16th July 2017 when the Mental Health World Cup (formerly known as the Lan the Baron World Cup ) held its 6th annual 5 a side charity football tournament. Next to the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal Hub hosted us for a day of great football. We got men talking about mental illness and we raised awareness among our players and our supporters that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. Check out this video of what for many was the BEST charity 5 a side world cup we had held to date....

With our charity partners CALM, we reminded our players and their families that if they or anyone they knew felt they were at risk, there are organisations who can help. CALM provide a helpline 7 days a week, offering support to those most at risk.

This year, on 12th May 2019, the Mental Health World Cup comes to QPR's incredible professional stadium. With the help of our sponsors, national fit out experts Overbury and Morgan Lovell, we are making the tournament even more accessible. With this partnership we can spread the message further: that suicide is preventable, it's ok, not to be ok, and that help is out there if you need it. We're ready for this year's Mental Health World Cup to be the best charity 5 a side world cup yet - are you?!
