Mental Health World Cup 2026 Community Application Form

Thank you for your interest in playing at the Mental Health World Cup 2026. Suicide continues to be the biggest killer of men under 50 and we want to stop that. By taking part, you’re helping raise awareness and providing funds that can literally help save lives through our charity partners.


Clubs that work in the mental health and football space mean a lot to us. That's why every year we offer a few lucky teams the opportunity to take part at one of our events for free.


We have a limited number of teams available, so please include as much detail as possible in your application when telling us why you’d love to play at this year’s Mental Health World Cup.

By applying for a #MHWC2026 charity place you agree to our terms and conditions, found below:  

 

  • I will be 18 or over on the day of the event

  • I confirm that I am medically fit and take part in the event at my own risk

  • I understand that if allocated a place, I will be responsible for organising a team of 8 players to help support meet the fundraising target

  • MHWC will send me regular emails to share event information, fundraising advice and training tips

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

By registering to join #MHWC2026, you understand and agree to the terms and conditions below:

  • You are medically and physically fit and understand that you take part in this event at your own risk. MHWC will not be held responsible for any injury or illness related to your training or taking part in this event. It is each MHWC Participant’s own responsibility to assess their fitness and to ensure that they participate only if sufficiently fit. Should any medical or physical condition arise prior to the Event which is likely to affect a MHWC Participant’s ability to compete in the Event, the MHWC Participant should withdraw from the Event.

  • You are on or above the minimum age stipulated by the Event Organiser.

  • We will use your email address to contact you with important event information and to support you as you prepare for your event.

  • If you supply your telephone number we may text you from time to time with important event information and/or use it to contact you about your application.

  • You agree to only use lawful means to fundraise and not to do anything that is likely to harm MHWC’s reputation.

  • If you need to withdraw from an event and wish to defer your place, please notify the Team via email immediately. You may roll your place over to the same event the following year, subject to availability. It is MHWCs’ policy that you can only defer your place once. Any money you have raised can also be rolled over to your future fundraising target, but you may need to pay a registration fee for the following year's event. Please be aware the cost of the fee may increase and you will be obliged to pay the updated fee cost. Please Note: Deferrals are at the sole discretion of MHWC. MHWC reserves the right to refuse a deferral.

  • MHWC would like to use photographs, motion pictures, quotes, or any other record of your participation in the event for the purpose of marketing future events online and on print materials. If you would prefer to opt out of your data being used in this way, please email

 

To comply with these and any further rules and requirements about fundraising, which MHWC notify:

  • Your actions will not incur MHWC any cost, claim, loss, or liability. You recognise that when you’re fundraising for MHWC, your actions will be linked to MHWC and our cause. You will not do anything to bring MHWCs’ name into disrepute.

  • We may refuse entry, remove or exclude or cancel your place in the event if we consider that your participation in the event will bring the event, or MHWC into disrepute or otherwise damage the reputation of MHWC.

  • You will take responsibility for the safekeeping of money raised in the MHWC name, until it is transferred to the MHWC.

  • You will conduct your fundraising in a respectful and positive manner and not in a way that could be seen as intrusive.

  • To only use MHWCs’ materials and logos for the purposes of your fundraising activity.


 

Application forms will be individually reviewed and we will get back to you by the middle of March 2026 with a decision. If you don't hear from us, it means you have been unsuccessful with your application. Please select submit below to send your application.
